The Nasqurrun or Fancy Hat, translates to real hat and is a ceremonial head piece of the Yup’ik women of western Alaska. Alaska native made with all natural materials, as is their tradition. Various furs adorn this headpiece with the long white fringe on top of headdress being caribou throat hairs. The Yup’ik people give thanks for that which the earth provides. Velcro adjustment to fit all heads.
